For the certified birth certificate is that just a regular copy of your birth paper or do i have to go through a special process to get one tank you i am at the stage of getting my paper work ready for the ds 230

You need to get a CERTIFIED COPY of your birth certificate from the Registrar General's Department (here's a link to the Forms page on their website). When you're sending in your DS-230 packet to NVC, include that certified copy of your birth certificate PLUS a photocopy. If you don't already have your birth certificate, apply for as many copies as you can afford NOW. The RGD is very, very, VERY slow and inefficient!
