Interview Dates

I'm just wondering at what point in the process we should be notified of my fiance's interview date. Is the date actually assigned from the office here in the States, or is it actually assigned by the Casa consulate? How much advance notice is usually given? I'm hoping to buy a plane ticket to be present for Youssef's interview, and just trying to figure out how much $$ I need to save and how quickly.

They gave us about a 45 day notice, NVC will notify you but the appointment is set by Casa. The first two weeks of the month is when they schedule appointments. In our case we closed out with NVC on 30 March it was to late for April's appointments we had to wait til the second week in April for a May appointment.

Good luck,
