If they have an issue with the discrepancy you will receive an RFE explaining what they need.

Won't be an issue...they deal with this type of stuff all the time.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

If the Embassy is in the Philippines, it will be an issue for the interview as they will want the birth certificate corrected which take time, then the NBI clearance has to have her correct name nad the one listed in the birth certificate that was incorrect as an A.K.A. and two CENOMARS to cover the two diferent names. If not they will stop the VISA process until it is obtained. Now I am only speaking for the US Embassy in Manila. I do not know about other countries. OP please update your timeline with the proper information. Thanks.

It's not your fiancee's name that has a problem, it's her mother's. I don't think it will be an issue. And besides, it's not even the first and last names but her maiden name.

True ....it is the Middle Name of her Mother . I am surely hoping this is not a problem . For me , it is Easy to see that this is a ligitament mistake but many people know how difficult the Government Officials Can Be !!! Thanks .... Terry .......PS I hope to soon be doing my timeline and It Will Be The U. S. Embassy Manila .
