Transferring Case to another Embassy

Here I am again! Still confuse hope this time I can get more useful informations :-) I called the NVC yesterday and they still have our case... I wonder if moving our case from Abu Dhabi US Embassy to USEM Manila Philippines (my home country)will take additional paperwork and will take additional waiting time like how long? anybody has an idea about this case or experience? Please let me hear.... thank you guys

Transferring the case can add waiting time because of the transfer, it can take 1-2 months to transfer it and get the case set up at the new embassy. Thats if the case is already at the other US embassy and you need to transfer between embassys. The best time to transfer a case is at the NVC and have them send it to the US embassy you want rather than waiting and having to transfer it later.

I called the NVC and requested to forward our case in US Embassy Manila. Fortunately they still have our case, so they can just directly forward it to the Embassy I requested. The lady said I should call back on Monday or Tuesday to check and to make sure our case will be forwarded in USEM Manila. :-) Hope this will not take additional time.
