Packet 3 E-Mail Submission?

Hi All-

My fiance and I have completed the Packet 3 documents and scanned them as PDF documents. Both his e-mail and my e-mail account were both able to receive the attachment and documents but they are like 15MB (18 pages). Any suggestions on how to submit the paperwork to the VFS for Mumbai consulate as the e-mail we sent was returned back to us undeliverable and I've read and been told they only accept submission via e-mail?

Thanks!

Lindsay

No evidence should be submitted at this time, you will drop that at the VFS about 10 days before your interview.

Your Packet 3 should only be a few pieces of paper.

Here is what I have so far...even cutting it down I'm not sure it would be small enough to send:

Cover Letter

Packet 3 Checklist (bc it says to check the boxes and return)

DS-2001

Applicant's Statement sheet

2 copies of DS-156

1 copy of DS-156K

1 copy of DS-230 Part 1 & 2 (I think I can remove the Part 2)

And I-134 Affadavit of Support

If I take out the I-134, Packet 3 Checklist, and DS-230 Part 2, I still have 10 pages because the DS-156 is 2 pages. Do you think I would only need 2 copies at interview and not right now?

In the packet on the consulate's website it says Applicant Statement, DS-156, and DS-230 Part 1. If I sent just that and only 1 copy of each that would be 5 pages which would probably be small enough to e-mail.

Thoughts?

Dipu only sent three separate attachments, one page each:

DS-230 Part 1, pages 1 and 2

Applicant Statement

He didn't turn in the I-134 or the photos or any evidence until after the interview was scheduled. He turned all information over to the VFS for Packet 4 three weeks before his interview. I realize that the applicant statement says there is an enclosure for the I-134, but you'll find a lot of inconsistencies and misinformation on the New Delhi embassy website and throughout the process in general. If it helps, you can include the following in your email submission as an explanation as to why you are only submitting the three pages:

Packet Three – K1 Visa

Your non immigrant K1 visa petition has been approved. While no assurance can be given regarding the date of your visa interview appointment, you should now prepare for that appointment by taking the following steps:

First: Complete and return immediately to the Immigrant visa section at the American Embassy the enclosed Form (Applicant Statement) and form DS-230 Part 1.

You can email packet 3. I know my fiance mailed and emailed. I believe we got a quicker interview date due to his email. My fiance is on the train right now, but I know he said it had to only be a certain MB. I am guessing he sent multiple emails to them to not go over the MB.

Rebecca is right!

"Complete and return immediately to the Immigrant visa section at the American Embassy the enclosed Form (Applicant Statement) and form DS-230 Part 1"

You can submit below documents later, once you will receive interview date.

DS-156

DS-156K (PDF 291KB)

Form I-134

Police certificate

Medical reports

Birth certificate

the email only allow you to send attachments under 2mb, so when i sent mine, i scanned them as pics and reduced the size in the paint barely under 2mb, and also i sent each pic separately. when you reduced the size just make sure you can still read the letters.

hope this helps
