Hi All-

My husband and I have received our NOA1 and are waiting patiently for #2. We are trying to plan our vacation time for upcoming months and need to take our interview into consideration. We both live in Calgary, and I have a few questions:

-Does our interview have to take place at the Montreal Consulate?

-Do we schedule our own interview or will they tell us when it will be?

-How long after our NOA2 should we expect our interview to be?

-Does he (the USC) need to be at the interview?

Thanks for the help!

Hi All-

My husband and I have received our NOA1 and are waiting patiently for #2. We are trying to plan our vacation time for upcoming months and need to take our interview into consideration. We both live in Calgary, and I have a few questions:

-Does our interview have to take place at the Montreal Consulate? Montreal is the only place that processes spousal visas, you will have to go to Montreal for the interview.

-Do we schedule our own interview or will they tell us when it will be? No you do not, NVC schedules the interview for you.

-How long after our NOA2 should we expect our interview to be? Some months after you are finished with the NVC.

-Does he (the USC) need to be at the interview? No, in fact they would rather the USC not be at the interview due to limited space. But he can attend if he wants.

Thanks for the help!

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

What Inky said!

-How long after our NOA2 should we expect our interview to be?

This depends on how prepared you are for NVC. Read this link -> NVC for Montreal Beneficiaries

If you follow that guide to the T you will cruise through NVC in under a month. Of course that depends on how fast NVC is on their end.
