Received p4 letter in email. Couple of questions.

1. Can i use that to go to the American Embassy in Mumbai or do i need to wait for the official one in regular mail?

2. Can i use the p4 letter to go get the medical done in Chennai and keep the results with me and hand it over to the Mumbai Embassy during the interview?
