Hey Guys, I know there have been several threads about the change of visa fees, but I am still confused and visasbkk and visasbkk2 haven't exactly been very helpful:

What is the correct fee to include with packet #3? When we downloaded packet #3, it states $141, but the Embassy website says $350 and that this fee will be lowered to $240 on 13 April 2012. Either way, we are unsure what to include in our packet because that packet's instructions says it's $141. Thanks for the help!

Do we actually take the money to the post office and then send in the receipt as part of packet 3 or do we bring the receipt in at the interview?

Thanks for the help!

Brad

Hello Brad,

I don't have an answer for you. I am responing with a question about your timeline. It shows that your I-129F made it from your home to Dallas and on to Bangkok in just a month. Is this correct?

I'm just curious because I'm sending off my packet next week and find your timeline to be extremely encouraging.

Cheers and good luck,

Andy

You should pay before mailing packet 3. Looking at my receipt from 3/29 last month, it was $350 or 11200 baht. We paid at the post office. Not sure how they do the exchange rate so it may differ slightly. $350 is correct, I found it digging through the embassy's website but for whatever reason they didn't update this on the packet 3 documents.

The way we did the packet was I mailed a copy for packet 3 and the original was shown at the interview.
