I went for interview today...

At first Immigration officer asked me to fill out G-325A. I filled out and he went thru all the past address history and my past employers with me..asked my marriage date.. Date of divorce....then he asked me the reason of divorce....he asked me if I have to submit more documents .. I did submitted more documents....then he went out to make copy of those documents.... He asked what did you try to save your marriage?? I explained him what I did..as he knows I'm from India he told me to follow the teachings of god rajnish osho.. He said it's a personal advice from me... He asked if I'm still in contact with my ex wife.. At the end he asked me if I had joint bank account with my ex wife..I said yes and I can provide you those documents if u need... Thats the only document we were missing...Then he gave me a paper saying about submitting more documents(joint bank accts statements) within 87 days..at the end he asked me if I want to say something else about my case..I said no and then we left....

I came out all confused.. Dunno what will be the next step after I submit joint bank acct documents!!!!... Can they still deny????

Your interview went very smoothly & it looks like if you submit RFE to your local office (Joint Bank Accounts etc...), you will be approved.

If I were you I would send RFE ASAP. He will reply you back in 2 weeks.

Good luck !.... please keep us posted..

Hey guys, finally day has come ... waIver got approved....recieved my 10yr GC in mail today..without VJ this woykd have never happened.. thanks to all VJ's for sharing your extensive knowledge....

Yes I had Lawyer with me during interview. ..Good lawyer will help you to prepare and present your case in a good manner.. that counts alot. esp. with waiver of removing conditions. Make sure you give to the point answers to the Immigration officer. do not swamp IO with lot of unnecessary information..

gudluck

If you don't mind my asking, how much did the lawyer charge you?? I am planning on filing my waiver soon & the lawyer that i found is charging me 2000 dollars in St Louis Missouri. I would have filed by myself since i have some evidence to show good faith marriage but the timing of when i got the GC & when we got separated am afraid might make the IO get suspicious. So am thinking having the advice of a lawyer plus also having the lawyer present incase am called for an interview would be beneficial.

Your story has given me some hope even though not similar to mine. What state are you in? Thanks!
