administrative processing in chennai us consulate

is anyone else waiting for their visa who had interview in chennai us consulate let me know plz.

I was interviewed in chennai for cr1 visa and was in AP for 8months. Just a week back my passport was returned with blue slip for updated medical report, Alhumdulilah I sent the report now waiting:)

my visa category is IR2 and it has been 6 months they kept my passport and said will send ur visa after administrative processing and also said me that it can take 4 to 6 weeks they have not issued me any slip at the time of interview am getting scared if they send my ppt like u to have new medical.

Medical is valid only for 6 months..once AP is over you will receive your passport for getting updated medical report. I am pretty sure about it.

And then you will have to submit it to the mumbai us consulate since chennai is no more doing immigration process.

Nobody can give an estimate for AP. Each case is unique. He just said you 4-6 weeks just like the consular said to me;(

where did u have your Medical and did they told u to submit at VFS or again 2nd interview

i was going thru abt ur case,well my case is also same like ur's

abt me i had a interview on 27 th dec 2011 at chennai us consulate IR1 category the VO approved my visa and kept me on Ap and said it takes 4 to 6 weeks its already 22 weeks but no upadates from embassy just pennding on AP and on 3rd april 2012 when i called chennai consulate they said we are tranfering ur case chennai to mumbai and returned my passport and asked to contact vfs mumbai. i just to know from u guys whether ur case been transfered from chennai to mumbai pls let me know.
