I am assisting my mom and I have a lot to catch up. I'm reading a letter she received early March. It states all required fee payments have been received and now each applicant must now complete an Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration. Please go to the Dept. of State website at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. The reason I am assisting is that the preparer had not sent some documents and accompanying original documents (e.g. NBI clearances, birth certificates, etc.) because the preparer lost them. This is really a bummer for my mom. My brother (who is also trying to figure this out) told me that she needs to send the DS-230 and the original supporting documents.

Background info:

Petitioner: my mom

Potential immigrant: her brother (from the Philippines)

Any has been in this predicament? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I also received a reply from someone from VISA journey that some of the documents can be obtained online for example thru NSO. Can anyone tell me what documents I can order online?

I assumed that petition category is family based F4. There is F4 group inthis forum. Im from philippines and F4 also. The benificiaries in tbe phils should be the ones gathering all the documents needed and with the DS230 benificiaries need to sign part 1... In short tell the benifiaries to send all supporting documents needed for the DS230. pls join F4 GROUP. what is the priority date of your mom's brother?
