Interviews became available last week, on Monday, March 12, at approximately 3pm EST. The dates they opened up were for interviews on April 23rd, 24th, and 25th. They must have filled up between Monday (March 12) and Wednesday (March 14), because I checked first thing Thursday morning, and it was back to saying "There are no available appointments at this time."

There really is no 'good time' to be checking. It is totally random when dates open up.

As is always said - there are no tips but to keep refreshing. No one knows when or what time the appointments go up and if you call and ask them they don't know wither. Its completely random when they are opened and put on the website. There was a time when people had waited 2-3 months to book something because nothing was being opened.

Honestly, if I was in your guys' situation, I would have coded up a script that checks ever X minutes and emails me upon finding results (I did this to buy a Wii at retail when they were super-popular and out of stock on online stored within minutes, worked well enough). USCIS probably wouldn't like that though ;)

Spoom, if you made that a plugin for firefox that would be awesome, especially if you have a smartphone that notifies you when you get an email  I grabbed my first interview at 5pm and 3 weeks later I re scheduled it at around 6am. That's a big window!
