Hi does anyone know ... I have my divorce decree for the interview but do i need the marriage certificate from the ex marriage as well?? and also do i need originals of my fiancees and her birth certificate as well or just mine??

Thanks its just that the embassy says marriage certificates as well so a bit confusing and so I dont need my fiancees birth certificate?

I think its marriage certs for things like the spousal visa. You dont need your fiances birth certificate. My fiance sent me a copy of his thinking Id need it but I wont.

There was a case last September where a divorced Brit was required to provide a certificate of her prior marriage for London before the visa could be issued:

The London Embassy site says:

Marriage Certificates: Married applicants must obtain an original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority. A certificate is required for all marriages, including those that were dissolved.

It prompted me to get a copy of mine but it was not asked for.

07/08/2011 - Trevor is now a USC - called USCIS to request upgrade of the petition.
