I'm hoping someone can give me some advice

I am part way through a K1 visa, my fiance is in the army and currently deployed in Kuwait. We are now working on package 3 and i have my medical in one weeks time. Hes completed the 1-134 affidavit of support but i wanted to double check what documents he needs to send to me as supporting evidence to take to my interview. We've been advised to order his most recent tax return, which i think hes done.

Is there anything else he can send? He doesn't earn a lot at the moment but has quite a lot of savings so would it be worth sending proof of this?

And can anyone tell me what the minimum is that someone has to earn in order to be able to support the person coming over on a visa?

Thanks :)

See below for 2012 poverty guidelines and the instructions for the I-134. Military is 100% and I think the I-134 is also 100% (income to exceed poverty guidelines). He can order his tax transcripts. They mailed ours and it only took a week to arrive. We needed 3 years for the I-864 but I think the I-134 is slightly different.

Check your local US embassy's website for any consulate specific requirements for the interview and check the regional forum here on VJ for additional info/tips. I found the Australian forum helpful for consulate specific advice.

Hope that helps. :star:
