today she asks me if I have recieved pack#3 I said no but i sent pack 3 in and it was recieved and I was missing papers and I have since sent them in. She said "well now you wait to do pack#4"..So I asked um isnt that just instructions? she said yes so i asked well can i book to which she answers "i guess"...

Um i feel no farther ahead bc i really dont think she had a clue at all..Id hate to book if any are available and have it cancelled bc im not eligible yet?

So frusturating...thoughts anyone?

Calling the DOS can be very frustrating. We had similair situations where you speak to one rep and they say one thing and if you call back and speak to someone else its a different story.

You are only eliglbe to schedule your interview once they tell you your P4 is logged. I called every day till we found out ours was logged. It took about a week after they received our P3 to log the p4. Until that p4 is logged you cant schedule anything. Hope that helps.

Yeah, it took me about a week before packet 4 was logged. If they say it's been sent out or logged then you can schedule an interview.

I found that asking very specific questions based on the answer I was expecting was helpful.

ie, at your stage, having sent P3 to them, I would simply ask "has my Packet 3 has been received in Montreal yet". They will either say yes or no. If the answer is no, you call back the next day and ask again. If the answer is yes, then ask "has packet 4 been sent out yet?". Again, they can say yes or no. Don't give them a lot of wiggle room and you'll get the most straightforward results.

That was my experience anyway. Frustrating, for sure though!

The K-1 Visa journey for myself and my two K-2 children:

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

ROC: NOA1 11-7-14; Biometrics 12-1-14; 10-yr Green cards ordered 4-13-15! (157 days total)

Counting down to naturalization time!
