I don't encourage using Money Orders for Fees. You should be fine. "Department of Homeland Security" and that should be sufficient.

Your NOA1 should arrive soon. Don't worry.

If you wanted to write DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY but there was only enough room to write DEPARTMENT OF HMLDSCY I'm sure it will be fine. If it said DAVID COPPERFIELD then you will have issues. I have yet to hear of any money order being challenged if it is not stolen. Intent goes a long way with checks, I have cashed them with my name spelled very wrong, and you can always deposit a check or money order with ANY name on it. No one looks.

Some/Most Money Orders ask for the Name of The Payee and Full Address. Not needed Really and there is no room to write.

The reason I do not recommend MO's is if they get lost or a incorrect payment amount they are NOT immediately refunded and can take weeks to get the Funds back.

You should be fine. The government finds a way to accept any money :). But for tracking purposes a check is a better way because you can track when it clears your bank and know for sure that they recieved your application.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

last week I sent a moneyorder for the k1 fees my question is has anyone seen a moneyorder be rejected for not having enough room to write out the receivers full info by the visa office?

No

If the amount is correct they will take your money. You do not even have to write their name at all, they have a stamp.

I always suggest personal checks as they are easy to track. ALWAYS use a personal check ALWAYS use some form of delivery confimration.

I prove them wrong by not using them. Of course only I know that but that is good enough for me.

They will take your funds. If the check is made out for the wrong amount they will send the whole thing back, petition and all.
