Our RFE :

- fiance (US citizen) needs to provide evidence that he is US citizen. ( Im soooo happy it wasnt anything else , cause I really thought they will ask for primary evidence, since we just sent in our photos and bunch of pages of skype logs).

We already sent in his birth certificate when we first filed the petition, so I guess they ether lost it or it wasnt enough. I read on some topics about longer version of birth certificate so perhaps that is the case..

We plan to send in the copy of his passport and probably the same birth certificate again.

Please tell me- we put one copy of the blue form on top of the papers, put it in the envelope and just write the address they provided?

Anything additional ?

Also, should we notarize the passport copy or is it not necessary?

That sounds correct. Did he not send a birth certificate with both parent names on it? Why did they say a birth certificate wasn't enough? Now I'm worried...

I really dont know. We assembled the package in my country and he just added his birth certificate when he got back to the US. Perhaps they lost it?? Or just playing stupid to prolong some of the decision so they can catch up with the work load : grrrrr:

Anyway, he just copied his passport, putting the blue forms on top, in the envelope it goes and of to the mail

Yes, he copied the entire passport. Now they can see entry stamps from Croatia as well as a further evidence

Tigerflower, I really dont know why his first birth certificate wasnt enough. I guess it is one of the two:

- it wasnt the longer version, whatever that means

or

- they lost it

Tigerflower, I sent only a birth certificate for proof of citizenship. I did not send any passport pages, and did not get an RFE. So I wouldn't sweat about it too much. Of course, as we've talked about before, it may come down to the adjudicator's mood that day, but I just want to let you know that it's possible to get by without passport scans (for evidence of meeting within two years I submitted my boarding passes and photos of us, one of which contained a newspaper with the date clearly legible).
