I am sorry I am sure this has been asked before but I stink at finding from past threads.

I have been looking through alot of peoples timelines and I have noticed that most people get their NOA1 within a few days...

I sent in the I-130 from the UK but I had to send it to the chicago lockbox because I am not a resident in the UK I am only here on a student visa.

Well I filed this two weeks ago this coming monday, I have been checking my email constantly, I even have my family back in the US checking the post daily...

As I stated in a previous thread I know there is probably going to be an issue because I sent in the London consulate payment form because when I formed my packet I thought i could file in London... and I was so frustrated the day I sent it out I accidently sent in that form. I am just wondering if it is taking so long to hear from anyone because I didn't file from within the US? sorry to be such a pain and ask a question that I am sure has been asked 100 times before.

I was wondering about this too...

Do you need to submit form G-1145 to get the email? Or will they do it anyway?

I sent mine express courier and it was received on Monday, but haven't received any email. I didn't file form 1145.

I'm worried there may have been payment issues like you had. How are you solving paying the fee in the end?

Edit: Found some other threads, sounds like my mistake was to miss the G-1145 form, so I might still be okay. But trying to get a US cheque organised from overseas was not easy, so hopefully there are no issues with it.
