Hi Guys,

So my Hubby to be (Richie) gave me a homework today, so we can get the necessary documents doneahead of time. And I read thru this link http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction%20Packet%20_3__rtf2_003.pdf

And one requirement caught my attention which is G. Other Country Police Certificates. I worked on board Casino Ship which was based in Penang, Malaysia for 10months back in 2007. And I seldom go offshore. So it says there that I need to obtain Police Certificate if I have resided in a foreign country for more than 6mos.

Now I don't know if this is really necessary and I don't know where to get this if needed be.

Just trying to avoid being rescheduled for another interview due to lack of required documents. So might as well prepare it in advance. We would appreciate all the inputs and Thanks in advance :)

I did a little research and found the following

US Embassy:

As long as the ship did not stay in any port for 12 months. You do not require a police clearance from that country.

Police Clearance are required from countries in which the beneficiary actually "resided" for more than six months since reaching age 16.

God Does for those who do for themselves..!!

Thank you very much for answering my fiancee's question. I just want to get everything in order for her while we are waiting for the NOA2. I'll let her know to check on the forums.

Thanks again. It's much appreciated.

Richie
