To enter the United states with a B1/B2 Visa (visiting for personal business), do they require you show proof of a return ticket?

I heard it helps.

I know of few people that were denied of a visa (but a tourist visa) from different countries because of the lack of a return ticket.

A few years back you couldn't even buy a one-way-ticket from Poland to the US - it was just impossible - now they don't care - they just know that you are the one loosing, plus one way tickets are way more expensive than round-trip tickets so I guess it is better either ways to buy a round trip than one way Hope it helps

They don't always ask to see your return ticket. When they do, you would need to be able to show them the return ticket or have a very convincing explanation for why you don't have one.

You can find several stories on this site of people who were denied entry because they only had a one way ticket.
