I know the USEM in Manila is kind of "iffy" when it comes to co-sponsors and the I-134, but can anyone who has actually been approved AND included a co-sponsor (at the Manila Embassy) chime in with their personal experience with including a co-sponsor?

From what I've researched, it is the "totality of circumstances" (and not ONLY numbers and figures) that the Consular will consider when determining whether or not the beneficiary will become a public charge, and so we're hoping that since:

1) we will be living together with my parents (the co-sponsors), 2) I was not employed until Aug 2011 because I was in school (abroad) but was able to find work just one month after returning to the US, 3) I've been at my job for more than 6 months now and my projected annual income would be sufficient, 4) (even though I know it is only the petitioner's finances they consider) my fiancée plans to work as an RN here in the US, 5) my parents' income is much more than sufficient to support the household, and 6) I was gainfully and steadily employed for years before I stopped working (to go to school)

that we will have a good chance for approval.

I've read a lot of what people THINK and HEARD about the whole co-sponsor and I-134 thing (again, at the MANILA embassy), but I haven't read anything from anyone who has ACTUALLY gone through it, so any experiences shared would be GREATLY appreciated (and we'll be sure to do the same once our interview is done). Thanks!

Why not ask this country specific question in the Phil's regional forum rather than the general forum?

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
