Hi,

Once we knew our case had been sent to the embassy, we waited about 10 days and then we sent an email to the Embassy in Caracas requesting the status of our case. In the email we included:

- case number

- Type of visa

- Petitionary name

- Beneficiary name and Alien number.

They answered to us the next day through an email with the date of the appointment scheduled for 15 days later. Thanks God I had all the docs ready by then, so i did not had to reschedule the appointment. I did not received hard copy of the appointment on time to bring to the interview so i printed the email that they sent to us and it was good enough. Funny part was that i received the letter two months after the day of the interview  but I was already in the States married and preparing the docs for the AOS process. Send them an email and see if it works as it did for us. Keep in mind that our K1 was 4 years ago, so I don't know if things have changed.

Good luck!

P.S. I like your nick, it's so venezuelan. lol

Thanks For the replies and good wishes. Today I received the formal mail form NVC indicating the visa was forwarded. I would imagine we will get notification this week or we will email them. Although we still need here police record and Birth certificate apostile form MRE..so we are waiting on those. Found out MRE will not except a original certified birth certificate if it is more than 90 days old..at least that is what we were told so wee need to get a new one first..but getting closer everyday now. Also finalizing wedding plans to get married at Niagara falls and then spend a week in DC after.
