I am in the process of getting Visa's for my Fiancee and her two children. Would like to know what Immunization Shots will be requried to enter the United States for her and the children. Would like to get the shots done or at least started by the time she goes for her interview at the Embassey, so that this does not hold the process up.

Your fiancee will be required to go to St.Lukes clinic for a medical exam prior to her embassy interview. At the exam she will probably get several shots as deemed necessary by the doctors and USCIS. After she passes the medical she will be cleared for the interview at the embassy. Remember that some shots are given in a series and she may require more shots here in the US prior to AOS. My wife needed 3 more shots here (much to her dislike!)

If your fiancee has shot records from before, she can take them to the exam and may not need as many shots. My wife did that and saved her arm from 2 needles.

I would not have any shots done before the medical exam by a private doctor. The cost of the St. Lukes medical exam includes the shots and it would be a waste of time and money.

I am sure the kids will also need something similar but my wife had no kids so we did not have to deal with that.
