Criminal Record Check Question

Hello again! So I have another quick question; I am filling out the form to get a criminal record check done, and I've hit a snag. I can't seem to find the information to fill in Part 2, about who this is being disclosed to. My case is being processed in Montreal; does that mean I can just put "National Visa Center, Montreal Quebec"? Or do I need the specific address and postal code?

Do you have a link to the form? When I filled out mine it asked for the reason I needed the check done and I just put "immigration." I doubt you need the address and postal code... Unless you're doing the different/more thorough kind of police check because you have a criminal history?

Also National Visa Centre is a separate entity from the consulate in Montreal. You deal with both of them, of course, but NVC isn't located in Montreal. You could simply say "United States Consulate General Montreal."

I can't seem to find a link to the form I was given. I don't have a criminal record; I just asked for the basic Canada-wide check for immigration purposes.

The form says "Consent for Disclosure of Criminal Record Information" at the top.

The section that I'm unsure of says:

Part 2: Pursuant to Section 8(1) of the Privacy Act of Canada, I hereby authorize the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to disclose my personal information to:

Name:

Title:

Organization:

Address:

City:

Province:

Postal Code:

Okay, I'll put "United States Consulate General Montreal." Maybe the actual address section doesn't apply here.

Just a quick update: I brought the form back into the RCMP office, and it doesn't seem to matter what is put in that part. So I guess I worried over nothing. ; This thread can be closed now.

'Worrying over nothing' pretty much describes my attitude throughout this entire process. I questioned myself every step of the way. Thank goodness for places like this to ease the worries.
