Hey guys ,

Good news is that my visa call is listed in FEB 2012.

I have some doubts in my mind.

1. Before how many days i get through medical and before how many days of interview i submit documents at Local VFS office?

Which hospital is certified to give medical certificate For immigration for USA in gujarat?

2. I have got call interview letter in email. still i have not received a hard copy of interview letter.Is is hard copy of interview letter is necessary for entering in mumbai consulate or just printout of email is valid?

kindly give me guidence for above topics.

Congratulations. Please see this link: http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivforms.html It will help you with a lot of your questions. Be advised that the list of hospitals on here is not up to date. When the Mumbai Consulate moved to Bandra Kurla Complex, the Breach Candy Hospital stopped doing Visa medical exams. My fiance had to go to Lilavati Hospital. You must have a copy of your interview letter with you for the medical. They won't give it to you without it! It's ok to just print it out from your email.

You need to submit your documents to the VFS Office four working days prior to your interview.

Visa in hand: 05/20/2015 (Yay!) ELIS Fee ($165) paid this day as well

SSN card received: 6/8/2015 (processed on 6/2/2015) // ELIS shows "Optimized" since 5/30/2015  // ELIS changed to "In Process" 07/14/2015. (E-file received 06/25/15)

1. I believe you have to submit your VFS fees and documents at least 10 days before your interview date. In regards to the medical...since they have changed consulate locations in Mumbai I would give the consulate a call or e-mail to see if they still use and accept the locations for the medical they used for the old Lincoln House Consulate. My wife is from Gujarat and she went to the Apollo Hospital in Ahmadabad for her medical. I believe there is a medical facility in Surat as well... contact the consulate and confirm is your plan of action at this point.

2. You will not receive a "hardcopy" that e-mail your received from DOS is your official interview notice letter. Print several copies of it, you will need multiples.
