ok i was told now we shouldn't really send the nvc originals so if they get lost.

now i am wondering...... my husb is in jordan. i have all the originals of everything and i will be making the papers and paying from here in usa. all the Arabic stuff has been translated and am pretty sure that is certified. but for things like my birth certificate or if we need send for the kids am not sure. or our marriage license, is there anyway to get a copy certified here?? or copies of the original translations certified? omg if they were lost we would be screwed, it would take months getting others.

any help is appreciated.

and when will i know if everything is ok so i can send all the originals to my husband?? or does he not need them?? he does have original birth certificates for me and him, but NOT our twins. and has orginal mariage licence. but am not sure about both our divorce papers.. will he need those/.??? You'll need to send original birth certificates for each applicant, children included of course, but not for beneficiary (the USC), original marriage certificate and divorce papers.

You could also send a copy CERTIFIED BY THE ISSUING AUTHORITY. It means that only the authority who issues the original documents can certify the copies. So if your children and your husband were born in Jordan, there's no way you can have the documents certified in the USA. Certified translation and certification of a copy are 2 completely different things.

Additionaly, if you send he NVC certified copies, you HAVE to show the originals at the interview.

So, to make it shorter: yes, you have to send your originals to the NVC, including your twins birth certificates, and yes, your husband will need his divorce papers.
