I've crossed a lot, though not that frequently... what I did was list the last five times I was there for at least 24 hours and appended that there were several other day trips as well.

I was going through the same exercise yesterday. I've been crossing at least twice a month for the last 4 years, usually at the same port, and I have good records for the last two years. I've had many crossings over the years. It was suggested to me that I make a statement to the effect that between <date> and <date> I have crossed a couple of times per month, or give a yearly number. Also point out some particular trips if you can. I included specific trips (Hawaii, California, New Orleans, etc.) that weren't regular border town crossings for me. My fiance and I are using the services of an immigration lawyer and this was their advice.

Most times when I cross I don't get an agent that I'm familiar with and they still seem to know that I am a regular visitor. Not sure what information they have on me (and I think they like it that way ;) ) so I don't know what kind of information they have access to right at the booth.

Considering the cross-border shopping gene that a lot of Canadians have, this must be a pretty frequent issue for Canadian visa applicants :)

On a supplement sheet, list the last 5 dates that you visited the US. Also write that you've crossed many other times over the years, usually twice a month. They understand that Canadians tend to visit often and can't possibly list all of them.

This stumped me a bit too.

I've not crossed as much either, but I've had numerous trips since 2005, so. I listed the most recent in the space provided, left room for "see addendum" and listed the years and attached a separate sheet. Not giving this as advice -- my interview isn't till the 13th, just saying what I did.

I tried to reconstruct from passport stamps, but found at that point I was missing a few when I looked at airline records too.

I took the context of the question to be "have you been here before? did you respect your status limits? Did trouble follow you if/when you tried to enter again? Are you being truthful? I'm taking my Skymiles statement to substantiate. as well as itineraries and the boarding passes I kept. The background on the recently announced new border accords seems to be saying that the information on file isn't as comprehensive as they would like, so I'm going in with the attitude that I'm volunteering all that I know for sure, and that I've done my best to match it up with what I imagine may be in databases to which I have no access.

I also lived in near Detroit and have always crossed to shop, etc. I put a 'see attached appendix "A" on the answer, and attached a page and a half, explaning that since I was a youth, I have crossed with my family, then friends, for occasions such as shopping, dining, and entertainment such as a baseball tiger game. I would average two times a month. I specifically listed any recent big vacations, explaning that usually these were a drive to the Detroit airport. I included the regular spring vacation vacations to Florida usually to a condo in such an such an area. Since meeting my fiance the trips became more regular.

My fiance had a nexus card so they could clearly see how many times he visited me if they wanted to!

Good luck, that's all they expect form us border people types.

OH YES< I also included that I had never been issued a visa for studying, working etc and never studied, or worked in the United States. All of my entries were for the purposes of shopping, entertainment, vacations.
