Seems a lot of us have received our NOA2 lately from VSC....we received ours on 28Dec, the snailmail copy came last week.

I've been calling NVC daily, on friday the person I was speaking with said they have received it and are putting it in computer now, and to call back early next week, (this week coming up), to see if its put in yet and to get the case number.

She also said that 129f's are a high priority and they try to put them in the system quickly. We are trying to get the case number asap as my fiance has to forward a background check to Cairo as she worked out of her country for 7 months.

So that will slow our process down by a few weeks I guess...I hope not too much longer, does anyone have and experience with these police reports, or does it all have to do with what country its sent to?

I would suggest that while waiting for the case number, she must request a police report from the country she worked in. This is part of the requirements that US Embassy will ask.

Goodluck!

It probably depends on what country you are sending the police check request to. I had to send one to Australia and had a snail mail reply in about 3 weeks. They required I send them my finger prints on paper, and they sent me back a letter stating there were no records in their system for me. Having the same thing done here in Canada with regular fingerprints would have taken months, but only took days with digital fingerprints. I'm not sure what the fingerprint requirements are for Egypt but if they are required you may want to look into providing them digitally. I had both of these reports done a few months ago while I was waiting for NOA2 because I didn't want to hold up the process. I verified with my US lawyer that it was okay to do these so far in advance.

Thanks for replies guys...we have our NOA2 already...while we were waiting for the NOA2 she went to the Egyptian consulate and they said she can't request it until she gets a form that is in the immigration pkg she gets...she then went to the US Embassy and was told she has to wait for the package to get sent to her and the form is in there...I was frustrated on this run around.

Boxster, what happened to you guys?
