Hi everybody!

I could not find a similar topic and decided to post a new one. Me and my husband are going to Belarus for 4 weeks this summer (May-June). My GC expires on July 26, 2012 and I don't want to travel during July or after, even though many people say it is okay. I am pretty sure that my biometrics will be scheduled during the time we will be away (unless a miracle happens :) ). If I won't be able to attend, will USDHS automatically reschedule and send me the next appointment or do I have to file some form or call them?

Thank you! Happy Holidays :)

No, they won't do anything automatically. You have to apply for rescheduling yourself. On my bio letter there was a line about it, if I remember correctly, and you have to drop the letter off at your local biometrics location (Phoenix for me). Unfortunately I don't remember any details, I simply didn't care.

If you get a bio letter before the trip, you may try to walk in with it and ask them to get your fingerprints done earlier.
