I-134: non-permanent job?

I am looking over the required information for the I-134, and I see that in the letter from your employer they require the following information:

1. Date and nature of employment;

2. Salary paid;

***3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.***

I am in a grant-funded position, and funding will run out at the end of 2012. I should be filing the I-134 in early 2012. My employer is generally very good about securing more funding or moving people around so that no one is let go due to lack of funding. I'm not particularly worried about my job security, but I'm don't know if the Government will see things the same way.

I really don't want to have to find a co-sponsor (embarassing!).

Will this jeopardize our K-1 visa?

FYI - current salary is well over 125% of poverty level.

I am sort of in the same boat.... I work from home teaching chess & trumpet so I am my own boss.... how what should I do for "letter of employment" etc?? Please help.... want to make sure everything is done 100% right.
