I requested for a supervisor review for missing original marriage certificate. i told supervisor, my certificate is in the packet. officer told file is not his table, and they will review it.

now waiting for a supervisor review.

Pls share your experience. How long it took?

Also any issue with asking supervisor review. What will be the possible outcome of review.

they told me 10 to 15 working days.

Glad to hear that you got the duplicate copies!

I really cant suggest at this stage. If supervisor review is completed before your duplicate copies reach there, then it may re-open your case again. I dont know how it all process would go there. but you may do one thing: you can send the one copy to your spouse in USA ( Just in case ). And also call customer care to discuss this matter, and see what could be more faster process to take care of this situation.

Merry Christmas! :)

I had the same problem, but for me They said that they want the original or a certified copy while the one I sent WAS certified..They asked me to wait for a supervisor to review it..I waited but then one of the operators advised me to go ahead and send the original coz he might just not accept it..thats what I,I sent it by FEDEX and it arrived there 2 days later..So maybe if you can, go ahead and send it,,If you would like to wait then use some Fast postal service like Fedex...It does cost Money But its Fast and Garanteed..

Good luck !!

WHen you guys talk about: Duplicate or Certified, this means Attested copy? right?

I got a copy and got it attested. Should that be ok? same as Original?
