...so my husband has been approved on Dec.15, I got the DHL tracking number from him and began to track any updates.

So far it says: Shipment Picked up Cairo on Dec 15, and today another entry was added: Dec 18, Scheduled for delivery as agreed. (however, there is no scheduled delivery date set yet, the passport is still at DHL office location in Cairo; once status shows "with courier" then it will be delivered).

Also, I was told that DOS office gets updates from Cairo embassy on every Tuesday.

I was wondering, those of you that have been tracking the DHL updates, are you getting same messages?

I just tracked my husband's case a few minutes ago and it still says scheduled for delivery as agreed. It hasn't updated today which I don't know what that means. I hope eventually it says differently tomorrow.

That's the message you will receive. Basically it means they're working on the case. Once they send it'll say it was processed and the departed. You can call DOS or the embassy and they'll give you more details.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

With the tracking number on the DHL's receipt. You were supposed to write it down after paying for it.

It was hard for me to figure it out but now I am good at it

You have to get to the screen that says find by shippers refernce number (it is on the right side of screen)

You have to know when NVC says the case was sent to the embassy. Like mine was dec 12 so

I used

EXP 12 DEC 2011A

search dates of dec 13 thru dec 17

country Egypt

THEN CLICK FIND

THEN it found it

i TRIED TO SEARCH FROM THE 12TH AND FOUND NOTHING. SO TRY A DAY BEFORE IT SHIPPED

oR TELL ME THE DATE AND COUNTRY AND i WILL TRY TO FIND IT FOR YOU

I called the embassy again to get an update on my husband's case. The woman who answered asked for his name and then put me on hold for about three minutes. Then she stated it was still under administrative processing. I asked what that was and she said namechecks to Washington D.C. Then I called the Department of State and then woman put me on hold for 3 minutes also and replied that it was under administrative processing and I asked which one. She said it's for checking documents and so on. She also said that case was still pending. So, I'm just going to be patient and occupy my time until my husband gets his visa. I don't know how he stays calm, but I will try to have patience.
