Foreign Debt

Not sure if this is the right place to post this

My fiance (we are applying for a K-1 Visa) has a few credit cards that would be difficult to pay off at this time. Is there a US company that is good for paying off foreign loans (credit cards)? We would like to be free and clear in the UK.

I am not quite sure if this is a good idea or not but ah well nothing ventured nothing gained.

Has your fiance a UK bank account where he pays his credit cards by direct debit?? Next question do you have a Washington Mutual bank account?? (noticed you were from the Seattle area)

ok heres the thing I was thinking about..... Washington mutual do a FREE transfer to banks in the UK, maybe if you transfered some money each month to the bank in England then you could pay of the credit card without to much hassle. As I said not too much of an idea, it was just a thought.

I'd endeavour to pay them off before you leave, but at the very least I would transfer the balances onto one account so it's easier to make the payments. Good luck.
