I think everyone gets there. You still have to talk though, even if you don't want to.

I think the majority of mean are actually like this

Like when he ask you how your day was and has a look on his face like he really cares?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I let people I don't give a sh*t about think I'm listening to them all the time. I mastered that.

This is a talent that transcends gender.

He never asks how my day was unless he knew I was doing something I was looking forward to or I had a big test or something. Who gives a #### how my day was? What am I going to say? I went to the gym, I had some lunch, I went to class. Woo fun...NOT!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

That question usually works for an ice breaker though. It's like; "How's the weather?" or something to that affect. Then you can say you made verbal contact so you don't have to hear any bs later on about not trying to communicate.

No but it's no secret that I don't like talking about me. Just tell me what you want and i'll either do it or not do it but there's no need for a protracted discussion.

Tell me what you're thinking about then.

NO!!!!!! the truth is whenever that question comes my way i'm usually thinking about nothing. that look on my face of intent focus which women think means i'm thinking about something actually means the exact opposite.

when i was younger i'd feel pressured to come up with something. umm i was thinking about you. how happy i am i met you. blah blah.

now i just say nothing and i dont care if she thinks im lying.

(of course, it helps that the woman asking today is my wife. if she wasn't my wife maybe i would still make something up.)

I think, by that reasoning, I'm your wife since you won't tell me anything.

That would be rather odd, but strangely comforting.

The only way she can prove she's not your wife is to have her get on webcam.

What?

Comforting in the sense that if one had a "VJ spouse" like some people have "work spouses," you'd be a good 'un. After all, you don't talk back much.
