CR2 visa was approved with no waiver needed. Waybill number has been received and package is ready for pick up at DHL. Problem is at the interview they took the original birth certificate and passport. We will be picking up the package tomorrow morning but does anyone know if they will accept copies of the birth certificate and passport as i.d. for picking up at DHL Lopez Mateos??

Since they have the passport and the picture is inside, I'm sure they'll use that to verify who it belongs to. But be sure you bring proper ID if you will be picking it up, as I'm assuming the CR2 is for a minor.

We kind of had the same problem picking up our K2 visa for minor, the consulate took the birth certificate and passport (which is inside package). DHL in Mexicali BCN said we had to present a certified copy of the birth cert. not a photocopy, so we went down to registro civil and got a new copy ($600 pesos for rush service) the same day, my fiancee only had to show her credencial de elector.

Maybe you can call your DHL office and ask?
