Dogs have owners ... Cats have servants

Dogs think they are human ... Cats know they are God

Dogs like chasing cats ... Cats like running through small gaps while being chased by big dogs that suddenly find they don't have enough stopping distance.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

We had outdoor dogs when I was a kid and they were great. Visla's ...a bird dog that are great with kids. I haven't had a pet since then but the now wife brought her cat with her from Belarus and I noticed cats are far easier in regards to up keep. Just keep the litter box clean and the cat pretty much takes care of the rest. If you want to go somewhere for a few days, np...load up the cat food and water and your good to go...no having to let the cat out to do it's thing. And up here that's a biggy for the fact it gets so cold up here during the winter.

My sister has a Visla - extremely neurotic dog (they used to give him anti-anxiety drugs), but beautiful and lovable. Unfortunately, he has developed tumors and probably is suffering quite a bit now, plus he is practically blind, but my sister is so attached to him, she couldn't bare to have him put down. Plus, he thinks he is her husband, but he can't get up on the bed anymore, which is fortunate for her real husband finally.

And that's my cat in my profile, if you can see him. He is the prince who frolicks on the lawn, while my other cat is our security dog.

Those dogs get too attached sometimes...like way over board. Ours was like that until we got another one so he had some competition. But she should have that dog put to sleep if he's in pain or better yet have her husband take him to the vet so she doesn't have to be there when they do their thing.

Well, her husband would just as well like to take him out in back and shoot him, like he did with his other two dogs and two cats when they were old, but I think my sister has developed a co-dependent relationship with her dog and he's afraid to get involved. She's a nurse, so she should know, but sometimes it is hardest for medical people to see what's right in front of them when it's their own family, so to speak.
