Hi Guys,

Me and my Fiancee are filling out our I-129f packet now and have a question regarding the employment section.

We have been backpacking since last year so obviously we would put "unemployed" for that time.

however during that time, we were on a working holiday visa in Australia.

Would we need to declare this as employment, or write it as unemployed? - we will be claiming the tax back at the end of our time here.

If it makes any difference we are still living and working together at one of the jobs.

also, while on this note, would our payslips be good evidence of an ongoing relationship AND meeting in person?

thankyou

marc

Okay, nobody is answering you so I will give it a go. I have no clue what you're asking and maybe others don't either. First explain a "working holiday".

Are you doing work and getting paid? Then how can you be unemployed? List every employer/job you've had even if it's been 50 and takes an add-on page to the back of your form.

Proof of meeting is entry in to Australia evidenced by stamps in your respective passports showing both in Oz at the same time; boarding passes showing on same plane maybe; payslips if they have same or close date and same town and show your name; ATM receipts if you took out money same date in same town but tie the number to your name on your ATM card by maybe photocopying card and receipt with card number on the same page---things like that. I highlighted what I wanted them to notice on my photocopies like dates/names/card numbers and wrote on the bottom of the page what it was, ie "ATM receipt for Jim showing withdrawal 2/19/11 in Sydney Australia" and "ATM receipt for Jane showing withdrawal 2/19/11 in Sydney Australia." Nobody complained or gave me an RFE for writing on my photocopies.
