Hello everyone I am a US citizen live in Miami Florida, i have applied for my fiancé's (who lives in Pakistan) visa back in May 2011. I received a letter from Uscis requesting 2 recent photograph of my self which apparently they didn't receive or misplaced. According to their web site, they have received my mail on July 12th and till now every time I check the status it's still stuck on "request for evidence review" . Now its been over 4 month. Myself and 2 other friends had applied for same kind of visas for our fiancé's and they have already received the visa and my fiancés case is not even approved.

Is this normal and anyone can suggest what steps can be taken to expedite the process? We have wedding arrangements in works for Feburary. I have called uscis last month and they sent me a letter stating that application is in works .

Any help would be appreciated i am so worried about this problem.

Thank you so veery much for any advice !

God bless

You have to have a very very good reason to get your case expedited and not many get their expedite request approved. Wedding arrangements are not a good enough reason for an expedite. You should not make any concrete plans until the visa is approved.

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

Thank you , there are no definate plans for wedding . It's just my family is spread out all over US and they have to make plans .... That's the least of the problem . The delimma I am having is that the request for review time period is normal ?

Typically the additional added processing time for a RFE is 2-4 weeks. Sometimes a little longer, but it should not take 4+ months.

I recommend a call to USCIS. You are outside of normal processing times and I would ask to speak to a tier-2 supervisor. They are usually working between 8am-6pm EST.

Good luck.

Have they recieved the photos that they requested? It took them 6 weeks to process my RFE and that was AFTER I submitted a Service Request with them. I suggest calling them on Monday and asking for them to submit one for you. That is really all you can do.
