It's just over a week to go now, and I feel like I'm totally unprepared.

- Do I need additional paperwork, aside from interview letter, passport, photos and photocopies as a backup?

- I read somewhere about paying a fee before I went. Do I need to do this?

- Will my medical papers already be there?

- Should I be preparing for a test/grilling for information or a meeting of formalities?

I feel like I've done nothing for this stage, it's dawning on me how close the final step is now!

Ready for my grand ol' timeline? Alrighty then!

I took two folders of stuff - one of documents - originals and copies, the other of evidence - photos, cards, mail, emails, phone bills etc. I didn't open either folder. I just needed my passport and interview letter. The medical report was there, even though I only got final clearance on my medical three days earlier. The fee you have read about is for the fiancé visa I believe. All you will have to pay is the courier fee - £14.80 and they don't take cash. You will be fine - read my review and others, they all say the same thing - nothing to worry about.

Good luck.

Ahh ok, that sounds better. Even though I know the K1 process is so much different, I still find myself reading things and thinking "ohmygod I need that!!"!

Just had a read through the reviews and feel a bit more relaxed. I worry they'll ask something that I think warrants a long explanation and then I'll go on for ages and anger them. Hubby thinks I'm going a little insane over it all, so he's fully supportive of the massive night out I have planned that evening to properly relax!

Thanks for your reply. It helps to have someone telling you everything's going to be ok. :)

Good luck with the interview you will be absolutely fine, they only ask very simple question like where did you meet, how long have you been together, when did you get married, what job does he do etc, etc, very basic stuff. I know what you mean regarding being stressed over the process. I was a complete mess during my K1 visa process was forever anxious thinking I had forgetton something, when I actually had it all covered, my then Fiance who is now my husband kept telling me not to worry it would all be ok and there would be no problems, incidentally everything went well never had any RFE's. I moved to the States on 17th May this year and my AOS interview is on Tuesday in Chicago not as worried over that one but still get slightly anxious will be glad when this step is over. Again Good Luck you will soon be together again. xxxx

I'm sure you will be fine. Make sure you take some magazines or something to occupy yourself. I just posted a super long review, it might help. I know before we went I enjoyed reading the really detailed ones.

Interview-wise use your intuition. The guy we had basically touched upon all the things that I had thought he might. i.e. I'm moving back to the US from the UK -- Well, why? That type of thing. From all the info you send they're getting a rough idea of "your story", the interview is to confirm this or fill in the blanks. That's the way I see it.

My mantra for the past week was "Keep it together, keep it together..." haha

I was extremely nervous too, but when it came to it i had ALOT harder job interviews, they are only going to ask you about your relationship, not like they are gonna ask you complex equation questions, They ask simple questions about your relationship which if you are truly in love with your fiance they should be stuff you should already know inside out, i am POSITICE you will be fine, just make sure you have everything on their checklist including original and copies of all official documents
