Hi,

Just got of the phone with someone at the embassy and they were telling me my packet 3 could take 60-90days, I know I got a fast approval but seems they take much longer at the embassy, they also said the process can take up to 8 months, i wamted to just strangle the person. Well just need to blow off some steam. I am hoping this process moves quicker, it has been 2 weeks since they received the paperwork,so i guess I will give it some more time....anyway thanks all for listening to me.

Well, look at the bright side, at least they keep you somewhat informed and their website is VERY helpful. Since most latin american countries seem to have similar requirements, my fiance and I used their website to get an idea of what packet 3 might look like since Argentina's website is basically useless. I understand how it can be frustrating though. Hope everything works out for you!

Hi,

Just got of the phone with someone at the embassy and they were telling me my packet 3 could take 60-90days,

It also could take a lot less.

Have you investigated picking it up in person?

Gosh, it only took 2 weeks for the embassy to send out packet 3 for you. It was over a month for me. My best wishes to you and your significant other.
