I have read: Not saying correct but was a topic recently. You Only need your MNL#. Picture ID to take a medical and the Fee. No Visa Fee yet needed to be paid.

Here goes that topic again. The replies were from Members who been there done that.

I read those posts and it seems the medical can be taken with just a MNL# and the Fees and proper ID

So what is the realistic expectation once the case is in Manila? I undertstand, she's gonna need to pass the medical exam and the NBI clearance, how fast or how lengthy is that process?

Medical is a 2-day process. NBI clearance can be obtained in Manila within a day. It is up to you and your fiance on how fast you want the process to go.

Provided you have all the required documents and no problems with the medical, you can realistically get an interview within 2-weeks. If you already have

your manila case #, you can pay the visa fee through BPI and get the medical done. Schedule your interview online a day after you've paid the visa fee.

We received our manila case # July 28, paid the visa fee the next day, scheduled the interview date 2 days later for an August 16 interview and had visa

in hand Aug 19 (picked up visa at the 2go Outlet at the Mall of Asia). Patty completed her medical Aug 1 & 2. So, for us, it was a 3-week window, though we

could've scheduled for an earlier date than Aug 16.

Good luck!

I would hope you'd actually make sure first that your application is in fact at the USEM before showing up for the interview. If it isn't there, cancel the

appointment and re-schedule. You can do this by calling the USEM.

Once the case is sent to the US embassy in Manila, what happens then? Do we have to pick an appointment date for the interview or is one assigned to you?

Here is what the U.S. Embassy Manila says.
