Hi everyone,

So i applied for my husband in april 2010, his interview date came for march 3rd, he was not given the visa at that time and we were asked to resend AOS with a co sponser. So i did and they recieved it at the end of March. Know for 8 months when ever i call the islamabad embassy im told ur case is under administrative visa processing. And when i ask details on the process they dnt inform me. Finally this month i called the us embassy and found out islamabad embassy sent out a mail on nov2 to my husband asking him for names of his siblings. Know my husband has not recieve this

Mail yet. Can anyone here tell me why there askinh this iformation? Is my husband undet security check list? And how does he have to send them this informaton? Any one experience similar incident?

I would really appreciate everyones help!!

Thank you

That hasn't happened to us but from what ive read when they ask that there are a couple of reasons... it could be a field investigation which is rare... or more than likely his name was hit during the name checks and they need his siblings names to be able to rule out the other names ...

And remb it does take a few weeks or more to review new documents after the interview so they may not have even begun the name checks until april or so...

im sorry for you that its taking so long.. we are stuck too in name checks since about 6 weeks after interview but i guess we are still within normal name check time frame but just wishing all this processing could end and we could just be together soon!

Inshallah im sure its a matter of time now for you.. wishing youthe best

It is normal for them to want the names and birth dates of siblings. It is part of their security check. They asked my husband for this information at his second interview.

I'm sorry that you have been in AP all this time and they are just now asking for this information but it means they have been working on your case.
