So...today marks the 5th month of our i-129f collecting dust at someone's desk at CSC so i decided to call USCIS. i spoke to someone and he basically just told me what i was reading on their website "on June 3rd, 2011, we received...blah blah blah...initial review...blah blah blah". After much frustration, i asked for another representative who can give me more info (an officer), which i dont understand what the difference is. The "officer" told me that they sent me an RFE through mail on Oct. 27th, which i haven't received, and that if i dont receive it by Monday, i should call back. Now my question is, if thats true, how come my case status is stil at "initial review"? Was that just a lame way of getting me off the phone? ugh! i admit i was kinda rude lol...but i think its understandable if you have been waiting for so long.

You cannot ever trust the case status website for USCIS. They often never update it or don't update it correctly. This is a common issue posted quite frequently about on VJ.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

that's exactly what happened to us... After 5 months of waiting, fiance called USCIS and told us we got an RFE.. and didn't received the hard copy until after 3 weeks.. What happened was, they mailman tried to send the mail 3 times at their house but there was nobody at home to receive it... just be sure that there's someone at your house to receive and sign the mail... because if not they are going to send it back to CSC... Next time you call USCIS, tell them to escalate you to Tier 2, i think they really know what going on to our cases... Goodluck!
