Husband needs internship after he gets here

My husband is in his last semester of classes in Mexico and would need to do an internship if he moves here to the states starting in January. Now, we don't even have our interview date yet, so I'm pretty sure it's not going to work, but if for some reason he was here before then, does anyone know what papers you have to file and how long they take in order for him to be able to work and or do an internship??

He gets a stamp on entry that allows him to work and acts as a green card for 1 year until his real green card comes in the mail.

Does that work if it's a CR-1 visa? And he can just automatically start finding a job?

Its only for spousal visas. You should do some more research if you are not sure of what you applied for and what you are getting.

He can start work only after he gets his social security number which usually take 3 - 4 weeks. He can interview, but can't actually start before then.

An internship doing what ??
