We took a calculated risk by buying the ticket for September 2 as soon as Patty was approved on August 16. Of course it helped that

we were in Manila and elected to pick up the visa @ 2go branch in Mall of Asia. Visa in hand by August 19. Prior to us paying for the

ticket for San Francisco ($625.00 one way w/ 1st time immigrant discount), we already got in contact with a travel agent and put a

hold on a ticket. In the end, it turned out ok and the plane wasn't even full! Good luck!

Got mine in Baguio City 2.5 weeks after the interview. The wait was frustrating!

The embassy would recommend you to buy tickets after you receive your visa and that's what I did.

N-400

2015-01-28: filed N-400
2015-01-30: delivered
2015-02-03: email/txt received
2015-02-04: check cashed

1. Chinook received her visa in Bacolod ten days after her interview..

2. Chinook bought her flight after she received her visa.

Perfect! I'll wait until the Embassy visit is completed for sure. Very good story, I'm gonna send the link to my Fiance!
