OMG! Just got off the phone with NVC and we wanna share our happiness to everyone! Our was CASE COMPLETED last October 24! My next question is, whats gonna happen next? We did learned that our case was completed by calling NVC and talking to an operator. Will NVC still send us emails confirming CC? Or the next time they're gonna email us is when they already scheduled our interview in USEM Manila? When should I expect to receive such emails (re interview being scheduled)? How about the medical examination? I'm too excited! Haha! Psyched! (L)

Anyone who'll be reading this, advises/tips re medical examination in SLEC and interview in USEM Manila will be greatly appreciated! Thanks y'all! :luv:

P.S. Anyone can join/post in this topic (Filipino/Filipina beneficiaries/petitioners/applicants are encouraged! Haha! ). You're experiences will serve as inspirations to me and hopefully to others too. Going through this very long, draining and exhausting journey will be a lot easier if we'll be helping each other. GOD bless and advance thanks to those who'll be replying. (F)

Call them back and get you MNL case number. As soon as you get it pay you fee at BPI. Then wait 6-12 hours and schedule your appointment. You do not have to wait on letters. Start doing all your paper work. You can print the forms online. You should be able to get an interview in the next 3 weeks. You can go onto St. Likes and take your medical whenever you are ready. Your almost there.

Using my home phone and cell phone, I had my wife on the phone to get all of the vital information such as her passport number, expiraton date of passport, family name, etc and I called a USA phone number and was able to get the Manila Embassy on the phone.

I then set up my wifes interview date. Good thing I had my wife on the other phone to provide all of the information requested.

Thanks for the prompt reply scruffydog, but I'm afraid that's not applicable to my case. I'm in a IR1/CR1 petition (spouse of a USC). The operator just told us earlier today that we've got our case completed last October 24. She also told us to call them 2nd week of November to confirm our USEM interview schedule (and that the november month is already fully booked! Booo! :crying: ), so prolly we're gonna have a december appointment. :dead: I hope early december though! *fingers crossed*

Hi bestofboston. :) Based on your statement, I'm guessing you're the petitioner. When did you call USEM Manila? NVC instructed us to call them 2nd week of November to confirm our USEM scheduled interview. I thought NVC's the ones whose gonna set the appointment in our behalf. I'm a lil confused. We wanna take the faster path though. :luv: What would you suggest? Should we call USEM Manila through their US number to set our own appointment date? I think our case hasn't left NVC yet (even the AVR is not yet updated - still says that our checklist response was recently accepted). :bonk:

I've read somewhere here in VJ that NVC schedules the USEM appointment for IR1/CR1 cases. And that the completed case will only be forwarded to the specific USEM/consulate once the appointment was scheduled. We wanna try what you and your wife did. We want an earlier date and don't wanna wait until december. LOL
