I went to Divisoria for the fabric, with the help of my dressmaker. I had a design I liked which was followed by my dressmaker. Normally couturiers don't copy designs, they make one for you but if you know what you want, that would give them the inspiration for the design. I don't trust the workmanship in Divisoria. I looked around and I think they do badly. Plus I have read some posts here about unhappy they were with any service they got. It's not worth going too cheap with your wedding dress from Divisoria.

I bought a medium box to put my dress in and carried it on the plane. Shoes and purse too! My dress cost me only 20% of the US price.

THe whole prep thing is fun so this is a great way to spend your time waiting for your approval!

I had my wedding dress made in the Philippines and I didn't regret it even if it took most of the space of my second luggage. It got wrinkled when I got here so I took it to the dry cleaner to have it steamed and I paid $90. That's almost half of what I paid for the dress! So good thing I got my dress from the PI where it's cheaper and you can choose whichever design you want.

I got my dress at Tutuban mall in Divisoria... if you go there... you will get overwhelmed with the wedding dresses... Since I know beforehand that we will be having a beach wedding, i purchase a simple white dress fit for a beach wedding... and brought it with me in my carry on luggage, the gown has all the space of the 1/2 portion of the luggage to keep it from getting crumpled... cheaper and practical...

i wonder how big is your carry on luggage for your wedding dress to fit? did the whole wedding dress occupied the carry on luggage?
