The NVC has told me that my case is approved and that all I can do now is wait for an interview date. Interviews are only done the 2nd week of each month. How long have people being waiting to be interviewed at the Montreal Consulate?

I found this thread in the Canada Forum: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/333964-finding-out-about-interview/

I've read the operators say that they only schedule appointments the 2nd week of every month but I'm sure I've seen Saylin say to look at her timeline as proof that's a lie.

I hope your interview gets scheduled soon for you :)

I am interested to find out about the same. I am still waiting for the I130 to be approved but would like to know how the interview is scheduled and what the expected time frame is.

When the operators tell you they only schedule during the second week of each month, it's a LIE! They schedule ALL month long. Want proof? Look at my own signature. I was scheduled during the FOURTH week. And go to previous NVC threads and you'll see a bunch of people getting interviews in weeks besides the second one!

As for the waiting time, it's on average two months from case complete to actual interview date. So if you just got your case completed, then your interview will likely be around mid-December.
