Hello forum,

I filed my I-129F in June with a NOA1 of June 14. Yesterday, October 14, I decided to call USCIS to check on the status. Of course, at first, the customer service at the first level ARE reading some kind of script. I asked for higher customer service and I got transferred. The funny thing was that when I called, there was no holding times. I mean when I called for the first level of service and when they transferred me on to a higher level. It was maybe 1 second. Anyways, I told the person at higher customer service that I was checking on the status. She said that everything looks really good and that I should receive a decision before November 14. Also, she said that if I don't receive anything before then, I should call them back.

So for those of us who are June filers, call and check on your own status. My update experience should help us keep the faith and for the ones who love us the most. Faith first then the love...don't leave luck out of the picture :)

If it passes your 5 month mark, then you have 2 choices

#1: Call USCIS to initiate a service request on your I-129F (expedite)

#2: Call your senator or representative

In either case, the 5 month processing time has passed so now USCIS must handle the case immediately.

As for me, if I don't get an answer back, I'll simply call them for an update (maybe they have not updated the online system). If there has not been an update, then I'll simply tell them to file a service request. Also, I'lll tell them that I'll ask a member of Congress also (senator or representative).

Hopefully, USCIS will start processing the applications well before the established processing times.

yes sometimes USCIS dont update their online status. Best is be patient in calling them, put in an info pass if its necessary. Goodluck and i hope you get your NOA2 soon ;)
