Rescheduling K1 Interview

Fellow VJers,

I apologize if this has been asked already but i tried to find answers on google but only lead me to more conflicting ans/sites.

Can anyone tell me how to reschedule K1 interview, pls.? How soon should i do it? Can it be done through phone only? I still have at least 3 weeks before my scheduled interview but i am not sure if i can make it on that day.

To those who know the ans., please do reply. Thanks so much!

You can reschedule your interview via phone or by email but be aware that you will not have any preference as to the reassigned interview date - you may be rescheduled months from now.

If at all possible, try to make it to your scheduled interview, but if you can't make it- reschedule as soon as possible.

According to your timeline the Embassy received your package on October 3 and scheduled you for 3 weeks from now (which would be approximately November 5 - or thereabout). You need to keep in mind that the Holidays are coming (the US Embassy celebrates ALL US holidays and Phillipine holidays) so you potentially could be waiting until after January to get your interview.

I'd definitely try to make it to your original interview date if at all possible. You don't need to leave for the USA immediately, you have 6 months to enter - but also you need to consider that your I-129F has an expiration date. The Embassy will automatically extend the expiration if your interview is delayed due to THEIR scheduling, but they do not have ot extend the validity of the I-129F petition if the delay is caused by YOU. Worst case scenario is that your I-129F approval would expire and you'd have to begin all over again from the beginning.
